Microsoft license retrieval issue

Many NGOs are not able to retrieve the Microsoft licenses from the VLSC site. I think the way or the steps that many of them are following is not correct or may be they don't know how to approach the VLSC site. Here are some guidelines on how to access the licenses.The actual process to access the Microsoft licenses is as mentioned below. Please read the below steps and do accordingly.


A. Login for users who have not yet registered(for first time login) : 

1. You need to have a Windows Live Id. Please check the link to create a new windows live id http://signup.live.com/
(Your Windows Live Id should be the same as the email address in the BiGTech profile)
 

2. Fill in all the details on the page and click on I accept. Your Windows Live Id will be created. 

To access the licenses follow the below steps:

1. Check the VLSC link https://www.microsoft.com/licensing/servicecenter/ to access the licenses.

2. Click Sign In at the upper right side of the page or Sign in Now in the Sign In box to display the Windows Live ID login page.

3. In the Sign in to Microsoft section at the right side of the page, enter your Windows Live ID in the E-mail address box and your password in the Password box; then click Sign in. A validation email will be sent to you.

4. Open the validation email and click the link to complete the registration process.

5. The Open License Agreement page appears. Near the top of the page, select from the three drop-down lists and click Go. Techsoup donations are Charity Open License products, which belong to the Commercial Open License type. The text of the agreement appears in the language you choose.

6. Click I Accept. This acceptance will apply to all future Open License agreements assigned to you.

B. Login for users who have already registered :

1. Go to https://www.microsoft.com/licensing/servicecenter/ to display the VLSC home page with sign-in and new-user information.

2. Click Sign In at the upper right side of the page or Sign in Now in the Sign In box to display the Windows Live ID login page.

3. In the Sign in to Microsoft section at the right side of the page, enter your Windows Live ID in the E-mail address box and your password in the Password box; then click Sign in. The VLSC home page appears.

4. Navigate to Software > Licensed Downloads tab on the VLSC home page to download the licenses.
